Open tender is invited for and on behalf of the President
of India from reputed contractors with sufficient experience
and financial capability including those registered with Railway/
Irrigation/ CPWD/ SEBS/ MES or any other public sector undertaking
for following work:

The
scope of the work as mentioned above is indicative only. Its
detail scope has been given in the tender documents. However
these details can also be collected from the office of the
undersigned.

|
Tender
documents (non-transferable) containing all the norms and
condition can be obtained from the office of the CAO/Con/
Mahendrughat, Patna, Office and Dy.CE/C/Rajgir office on any
working day from 11.00 hrs. to 16.00 hrs .from 05.11.2007
to 20.11.07 on production of receipt of Divisional Cashier
/ Danapur or Sonpur after depositing requisite amount or on
production of demand draft from any Nationalised bank/Schedule
Bank in favour of FA & CAO/C/ E.C.Rly. Patna for obtaining
the set of tender documents. In case any Tenderer wishes to
obtain the tender documents by post Rs.500.00 (Rs. Five Hundred)
extra should be sent by money order to the Divl. Cashier/
E.C.Rly/ DNR or Sonpur or submitted the demand draft in favour
of FA & CAO/C/Patna. After receipt of the remittance,
the undersigned shall send the tender documents by post to
him. However, the Railway takes no responsibility for delay,
loss of tender documents by post to him.
The tender will be received in the office of
the C.A.O./Con/MHX/Patna up to 12.00 hrs. on 21.11. 2007 and
opened on the same date at 12.30 hrs in the office of the
CAO/Con/MHX/Patna in presence of the tenderers or their authorized
representative who may wish to remain present. Tender can
also be sent to CAO/Con/MHX, Patna, by Registered post/speed
post/courier service to reach before 12.00 hrs on the date
of opening. However Rly will not be responsible for non-receipt
or delayed receipt of such tenders.

The
tenderers are advised to visit the site of the work and acquaint
themselves with the site condition and the expected quantum
of work in their own interest. The tender must be accompanied
with prescribed amount of Earnest money as mentioned above
in acceptable form or mentioned in the tender document. The
adjustment of Earnest money submitted with earlier tender
or recovery from outstanding bills will not be accepted and
the tenders without prescribed earnest money will be summarily
rejected.

Performance
Guarantee (P.G)
|
|
Contractor
will have to submit the performance guarantee amounting to
5% of the contract value any of the following forms:
|
|
(i)
A deposit cash, (ii) Irrevocable Bank Guarantee, (iii) Government
Securities including State Loan Bonds at 5% below the market
value, (iv) Deposit Receipts, Pay Orders, Demand Drafts and
Guarantee Bonds. Those forms of Performance Guarantee could
be either of the State Bank of India or of any of the Nationalized
Banks, (v) Guarantee Bonds executed or Deposits Receipts tendered
by all Scheduled Banks, (vi) a Deposit in the post Office
Saving Bank, (vii) a deposit in the National Savings Certificates,
(viii) twelve years National Defence Certificates, (ix) ten
years Defence Deposits, (x) National Defence Bonds and (xi)
Unit Trust Certificates at 5% below market value or at the
face value whichever is less.

| i. |
The
Performance guarantee should be furnished by the successful
contractor after the letter of acceptance has been issued
but before signing of the agreement and should be valid up
to expiry of the maintenance period. The agreement should
normally be signed within 15 (fifteen) days after the issue
of LOA and Performance guarantee should also be submitted
within this time limit.

| ii. |
Performance
guarantee shall be released after satisfactory completion
of the work and maintenance period is over. The procedure
for releasing should be same as for security deposit.
|
| iii. |
Whenever
the contracts are rescinded the security deposit should be
forfeited and the Performance guarantee shall be encashed
and the balance work should be got done separately.
|
| iv. |
The
balance work shall be got done independently without risk
& cost of the original contractor.
|
| v. |
The
original contractor shall be debarred from participating in
the tender for executing the balance work, If the failed contractor
is a JV or a partnership firm the every member/partner such
a firm would be debarred from participating in the tender
for the balance work either in his/her individual capacity
or as a partner of any other JV/Partnership firm.

The
Railway reserves the right to either cancel the tender or
reject any or all the tenders without assigning any reason
thereof.

during the above mentioned period and the same can be down
loaded and
used as tender document for submitting tender. This facility
is available free of cost. However the demand draft as prescribed
above towards the cost of tender documents will have to be
enclosed with the tender. In case the tender is not accompanied
with the valid demand draft for the cost of the tender document
as detailed above the tender will be summarily rejected.
