The prescribed tender form is not transferable and may be obtained from the office of Sr. Divisional Operations Manager, Eastern Railway, Howrah at Divisional Railway Manager’s office/ Howrah on and from 9^th October, 2007 between 11:00 hrs. to 16:00 hrs. upto one working day prior to the date of opening of the tender after payment of cost of the same with Sr. Divisional Cashier/ Howrah or Booking Supervisor(G) / Howrah Station and on production of the receipt thereof. Tenderer, who desires to obtain the prescribed tender form by post, should send cost thereof plus a sum of Rs.50/- by money order to the Sr. Divisional Cashier/ Howrah. The prescribed tender form shall be sent only on receipt of the remittance. However, the Railway takes no responsibility for delay, loss, damage or non receipt thereof. Under no circumstances, amount paid for the prescribed tender form shall be refunded. Tender document can be down loaded from Divisional website WWW.tendertimes.com. The cost of tender form has also to be paid in the shape of demand draft issued in favour of FA & CAO / Eastern Railway / Kolkata and to be enclosed with the tender form while dropping the tender along with the tender document. In case the tender is not accompanied with the valid demand draft for the cost of tender document, the tender will be summarily rejected. The tenderers/ firms who are found to be indulging in changing/adding or deleting the contents of the tender documents downloaded will be liable to face necessary action as per extent instruction which could be removal from approval list, banning, suspension of business dealings etc. Tenders must be accompanied with the aforesaid earnest money in acceptable forms as detained in the prescribed form. No adjustment of the earnest money submitted with earlier tenders including tenders, which have already been accepted, shall be done. Tenders received without the aforesaid earnest money shall be summarily rejected. Tenders must be submitted in the prescribed form either purchased from the above office or downloaded from the divisional website mentioned above only. They must be in a sealed cover and must be dropped in the nominated ‘tender box’ kept in the office of the Sr. Divisional Operations Manager, Eastern Railway, Howrah upto 14:00 hrs. on the scheduled date of opening the tender, when the said tender box would be closed. The tender box will be opened on the tender opening day at 16:00 hrs. in presence of tenderers or their authorized representatives who wish to remain present. In case the tender opening day is declared a bandh or holiday due to any reason, the tender box shall be closed at 13:00 hrs. on the next working day and shall be opened at 13:30 hours on this day.
