CALLING APPLICATION
 

INVITATION OF APPLICATION FOR LICENSING OF  TEA STALLS AT DIFFERENT STATIONS OVER HOWRAH DIVISION

Applications are invited on the prescribed proforma from eligible candidates for award of license of Tea Stall at the following stations from the categories mentioned against each station. Name of the stations vending unit to be licensed, Category of allottees, monthly license fee (provisional), earnest money are given below :
 

Eligibility criteria :
 

Only professional/reputed caterers satisfying the following criteria are eligible to apply.
 

a)

Reputation/business standing of the applicant.
 

b)

Turnover of applicant’s business in catering.
 

c)

Financial status of the applicant.
 

d)

Previous track record of the applicant.
 

e)

Proximity of the caterers to the location of the proposed unit and
 

For reserved categories the eligibility criteria as detailed above shall be deemed to be the desirable criteria and not an essential. However the reserved categories will be required to satisfy the Railway Admn. that they have necessary resources to set up and run the unit.
 

Important Business condition:
 

(i)

Size of the stall 6’x5’ – construction work will be done by the successful applicant at his own cost at the location fixed by the railway.
 

(ii)

Actual license fee will be fixed up on conducting joint sale assessment after six month from the date of opening of the stall.
 

(iii)

Electric and water charges should be paid by the licensee separately.
 

(iv)

Period of agreement five years. Railway may renew licenses after every five years subject to satisfactory performance.
 

Application procedure:
 

The application in the prescribe proforma duly filled in should be dropped in the box kept for the purpose in the office of Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Eastern Railway, Howrah, 4^th floor, Rail Yatri Niwas, New Complex, Howrah Station on any working day during office hours within 14.00 hrs. of 21.02.08 alongwith supporting documents.  A single form should be used for applying for a single stall. The application received after 14.00 hrs. of 21.02.08 will not be opened & summarily rejected. The application will be opened at 15.00 hrs. on 22.02.08 in presence of the party/representative. In case the date of opening of application is declared a holiday/close day for any unforeseen reason, the application will be opened on the next working day at the same time and venue.
 

On scrutinizing the application final selection will be done by the Railway Administration.  The Railway Administration reserved the right to cancel/reject any or all applications without showing any reason.
