tenders are invited in the prescribed tender form for supply
of dietary items on daily basis through Open
Tender, for a period of one (01) year
from the date of acceptance/offer of contract for Orthopaedic
hospital E/Rly.Howrah as per terms and conditions
given along with the tender form.

Tender
form can be obtained from the office of the Chief Health Director,
Orthopaedic Hospital, E. Rly., 222, Biplabi Haren Ghosh Sarani,
Howrah-711101 on any working day excluding Saturdays, Sundays
& any Holidays from 10/06/2008 to 26/06/2008 between
11.00 hrs to 14:00 hrs. on production of original money receipt
obtained from the chief Cashier E. Rly., Kolkata-I or
Booking Supervisor, E. Rly, Howrah by depositing Rs.3,000.00
(Rupees three thousand only).Tender form or cost of
it is neither refundable nor transferable. If the last date
of selling tender form happens to be holiday or unavoidable
circumstances like bandh the same will be available on next
working day within stipulated time mentioned above.

Tender
document can also be downloaded during the above mentioned
period from Eastern Railway’s website, “http://www.easternrailway.gov.in
&
http://www.tendertimes.com”
and the same can be used as tender document for submitting
the offer. The cost of tender form has to be paid in the shape
of demand draft / banker’s cheque of any Nationalized Bank
of India amounting to Rs. 3,000.00 (Rupees
three Thousand only), drawn in favour of FA&CAO,
E.Rly / Kolkata and to be enclosed with the tender form while
dropping the tender. In case the tender is not accompanied
with the valid demand draft / banker’s cheque for the cost
of tender document the tender offer will be summarily rejected.
The demand draft / banker’s cheque is not refundable. Tender
document down loaded from the Website should be printed on
A-4 size paper.

Sealed
tender must be dropped in the tender box kept in the office
of Chief Health Director, 222, Biplabi Haren Ghosh Sarani,
Orthopaedic Hospital, E. Rly. Howrah-711101 from
10/06/2008 to 27/06/2008
between
11.00 hrs. to 14.00 hrs. Except Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays
or unavoidable circumstances. The tender box will be closed
on 27/06/2008
at
14.00 hrs. and will be opened on
27/06/2008
at 15.00 hrs.

If
the office of the Chief Health Director, Howrah remains closed
for unforeseen reasons on the last date of dropping of tenders,
the tenderers can drop their tenders on next working day and
the
tender box will be closed and opened on the same day, the
time however remaining the same as mentioned above.
|
|
Special Attention
|
| 1) |
The
Contract will be for a period of 01 (one) year
from the date of award of offer / acceptance of contract.
|
| 2) |
Rates
of all dietary articles as per list given in the schedule
must be quoted; otherwise tender will be summarily rejected
.Rates to be quoted both in words and figures.
|
| 3) |
Terms
& conditions
and instructions are available with the tender
form.
|
| 4) |
Credential
of similar type of work in Govt., Semi-Govt. organization
with satisfactory performance report must be
submitted with the tender form. Credential means:
|

(a) |
Document
/ Certificate of previous experience of supply of dietary
items in big establishment.
|
| |
(b) |
Certificate
regarding financial capacity from the bank concerned.
|
|
5) |
Performance guarantee & Security deposit
:
|
| |
Security
money amounting to 5% of the accepted tender value will be
recovered at the rate of 10% of the bill amount per month
till the full amount is recovered and a performance guarantee
amounting to 5% of the accepted tender value in the form of
an irrevocable bank guarantee/ DD/ Banker’s cheque / Term
deposits will have to be furnished to this office
before signing the agreement and within fifteen (15) days
from the date of award of offer / acceptance of contract and
it should be valid for the entire period of contract plus
two (02) months after expiry of the contract, failing which
the tender offer will be treated as cancelled and no further
correspondence on the subject will be entertained. Security
deposit & Performance Guarantee shall be released after
satisfactory completion of the work. No interest will be paid
for the said security money and performance guarantee.

6) |
Tender
form down loaded from the website must be accompanied with
the valid demand draft / banker’s cheque amounting to Rs.3,000.00
( Rupees three thousand only) towards the cost of tender document,
otherwise the tender offer will be summarily rejected.
|
|
7) |
Tender
form without earnest money will be summarily rejected.
|
|
8) |
The
Railway Administration reserves the right to accept or reject
any or all of the tenders without assigning any reason whatsoever.
|
|
9) |
Tenderer
(s) is/are requested to submit the following documents with
the Tender:-

|
