GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY TO BRAND A TRAIN

1.

Sealed Tenders are invited by the Divisional Railway Manager(Commercial), Eastern Railway, Howrah from the reputed companies/firms or agencies experienced in outdoor advertising, or organisations of Government/Government Undertaking or Private Sector for licensing out BRANDING RIGHT of Puja Special Trains scheduled to run from Howrah Station. The tenderer should have a minimum turnover of Rs. 50 lakhs per annum. Proof to this effect should be submitted along with the tender.

The following five Puja Special trains are nominated for BRANDING RIGHT

BRANDING RIGHT of train signifies that the logo or Brand name in text (limited to reasonable number of characters) of the company may be advertised on the train with the following scope.
  

The brand name will appear on:

i) Destination boards, ii) Train name board (on first & last Coaches) iii) Reservation Charts iv) During announcements about the arrival/departure of the train, v) Train/Coach indication board, vi) Advertisement on bed roll covers in AC coaches, vii) Supply of Brochures in bed roll covers, viii) Supply of Brochures in trains, ix) Display of advertisement by vinyl wrapping of exterior of coaches on four panels in each coach and x) Display of advertisement boards inside the coaches on top of the door ways (four boards per coach).

The Tender documents will be available on any working day on and from 03.09.2008 from the office of Divisional Railway Manager (Commercial), Eastern Railway, Howrah (Rail Yatri Niwas Building 4^th floor Howrah) up to 14.00 hrs. of 24.09.2008 on submission of original money receipt for deposit of the amount (not refundable) of Rs. 1000/- ( Rupees one thousand only), obtainable from Misc. Cash Counter, Main Booking Office, Howrah (Old Complex).

The tender document is also available in Eastern Railway’s website www.easternrailway.gov.in and www.tendertimes.com for the purpose of downloading and the tenderer who will submit their offer in forms, down loaded from the website has to deposit a Demand Draft/Pay Order drawn in favour of FA & CAO, Eastern Railway, Kolkata equivalent to the amount of cost of Tender documents as mentioned above. If the tender document is down loaded from the web site, it will be the responsibility of the tenderer to note the corrigendum, if issued subsequently.

The tender form is not transferable.

The tenderer are required to submit their offer in separate Tender Forms for separate trains. Tender for part of a train will be rejected outright.

Duly completed forms, in sealed covers marked Packet-A and Packet- B addressed to Divisional Railway Manager (Commercial), Eastern Railway, Howrah Division, Howrah should be dropped on or before 15.00 hrs. of 24.09.2008 in two  Tender Boxes kept for the purpose at the office of Divisional Railway Manager(Commercial), Eastern Railway, Howrah.

The Tender Box for Packet-A will be opened in presence of the applicants or their representatives at 16.00 hrs. on 24.09.2008 at the office of Divisional Railway Manager(Commercial), Eastern Railway, Howrah.
  

10.

In case the date of opening of tender box is declared a Holiday or closed day for any unforeseen reason, the same will be opened on the next working day at the same time.
  

11.

The date and time for opening of the financial offer i.e. Packet-B will be intimated to the tenderers whose technical offer (Packet-A) are found suitable, so that they or their authorized representatives may remain present at the time of opening of financial offer.

Earnest money of Rs.50,000/- ( Rupees fifty thousand only) per train is to be deposited through Demand Draft/Pay Order drawn in favour of FA & CAO, Eastern Railway, Kolkata for each train separately.
  

13.

The license will be initially valid for the period of run of the respective train as indicated at para-2 above only. If the train is extended beyond that period, the agreement can be extendable on mutual consent on the same terms and conditions for the extended period subject to realization of the additional license fee for the entire extended period except for the Privilege Price, which will cover the extended period also.
