1.

It is hereby notified for public information that the auction sale for 120 Nos of trees (approx reserve cost of Rs. 1,11,500/-) will be held on 9^th Sept.' 2008 at 12.00 hours in the office of the Dy. Chief Engineer/Con/III/E.Rly/Sealdah, RMS Building, 3rd Floor, Sealdah, Kolkata-700014 for disposal of trees which are infringing the construction of doubling between Baruipur and Magrahat.
   

Location of trees: Between Baruipur and Magrahat.

All interested parties are requested to attend the auction on the specified place & time and enroll their names with earnest money of Rs. 2,230/- (Rupees Two thousand Two hundred Thirty) only in the form of demand draft form any nationalized bank in favour of FA&CAO/Con/E.Rly/Kolkata which will be returned on the spot to the unsuccessful bidder.

After closing the auction, the full amount of the bid will have to be deposited by the successful bidder.
   

4.

Acceptance of the auction amount will be provisional subject to the approval of Railway authority.
   

5.

Successful bidder should cut and remove all the trees from the site including uprooting of roots within 1 (one) month form the date of acceptance of offer.
   

6.

The intending bidder must seen and satisfy themselves regarding location, size and type of trees before participating in the auction.
    

7.

Other details of trees and terms & conditions may be collected form the office of the Dy. Chief Engineer/Con/III/E.Rly/Sealdah at RMS Building, 3rd Floor, Sealdah before participation in the auction.
      

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF AUCTION SALE OF TREES ON RAILWAY LAND INFRINGING ALIGNMENT BETWEEN BARUIPUR AND MAGRAHAT  IN CONNECTION WITH DOUBLING BETWEEN BARUIPUR AND MAGRAHAT, PHASE - I

1.

The intended bidders will have to deposit a sum of Rs. 2,230/- (Rupees Two thousand Two hundred Thirty) only as earnest money in the form of demand draft form any Natinalized bank in favour of FA & CAO/Con/E.Rly/Kolkata before the bidding starts. In no case, cash will be accepted as earnest money. This earnest money will be refundable to the unsuccessful bidders immediately after bidding is over except 2nd & 3rd highest bidders.
     

2.

The successful bidder has to deposit the full bid value plus 4% W.B. Sale Tax on the bid value within 72 hours (excluding holidays of bank). The money shall be deposited in the form of demand draft from any nationalized bank drawn in favour of FA & CAO/Con/E.Rly/Kolkata.
   

3.

The successful bidder has to deposit 10% security money on bid value in the form of bank draft from any nationalized bank drawn in favour of FA&CAO/Con/E.Rly/Kolkata, separately in addition to item (2) above. The security money will be refunded after successful completion of the work.
   

4.

If successful bidder fails to deposit money as mentioned above, the earnest money will be forfeited and auction will be awarded to the nearest bidder or so on at the discretion of railway.
  

5.

A person or persons found indulging in or supporting willingly or unwillingly malafide intention at the time of auction and creating circumstances not congenial to hold auction peacefully shall be expelled at the discretion of railway. The earnest money of such persons shall also be forfeited.
   

6.

Railway administration reserves the right to accept or regret any or whole bid.
   

7.

The Completion time for removal of trees from site is 1(one) month from the date of acceptance.
   

8.

The acceptance will permit the license to remove the trees from railways site. However, licencee has to arrange permit for transporting the logs at his own cost including payment of octroi, fee,  taxes, other charges etc. if any as applicable.
   

9.

Breach of any of the above conditions will render bidder liable to termination with or without notice and security money will be forfeited.
   

10.

Any damage or loss caused to railway property or disturbance safe passenger of train during execution of work will have to be borne by the licensee.
   

11.

The administration is not responsible for ignorance or implications of the detailed mentioned in the para above, which must be thoroughly understood before participating in the auction.

The details of trees are available in the office of Dy.CE/Con/III/E.Rly/Sealdah office. The same can be seen anytime between 10.30 hrs. and 18.00 hrs on any working day before the day of auction.
   

13.

All the trees are live and standing. However, the up-rooting of trees cannot be ruled out due to tempest and heavy wind. In case of up-rooting of trees, the tree will be kept in near by location.
