The Ministry of Railways (the "MOR), Government of India has decided to modernize and redevelop Howrah Railway station into World Class station through Public Private partnership (PPP).

Chief Administrative officer (Con), Eastern Railway, Kolkata, India for and on behalf of the President of India, hereby invites sealed proposals in two envelope system for engagement of Architect & Technical Consultant from reputed firms for determining the technical feasibility and financial viability of the project. Conditions of eligibility is furnished in "Request for Proposal (RFP)" document.

Request for proposal document (RFP) will be available for sale from 23/03/10 and will also be uploaded on http:/www.tendertimes.com hyperlinked with Eastern Railway's Official website http:/www.easternrailway.gov.in on 23/03/10.

RFP documents can be obtained from the Office of Chief Administrative Officer (Con), Eastern Railway, 4th floor, New Koilaghat Building, 14 Strand Road, Kolkata-700 001, India between 11.00 hrs. and 16.00 hrs. on all working days from 23/03/10 till 29/04/2010 on payment of a fee of Rs. 5,000 (Rupees five thousand only) in person/upto 15/04/2010 on payment of a fee of Rs.7,000 (Rupees seven thousand only) by post, in the form of a demand draft or banker's cheque drawn on any Schedule Bank in India in favour of FA&CAO (Con), Eastern Railway and payable at Kolkata.

Proposals in prescribed format should be submitted at the place described in the RFP documents on or before 12.00 hrs. of 30th April, 2010 (Proposal Due Date). If the Proposal Due Date (PDD) happens to be a declared holiday at a later date, the RFP will be opened on the next working day at the stipulated time.
